Registration and eligibility

Who can attend e-DiFTA?

Attendance is intended exclusively for law enforcement personnel, military personnel engaged in digital forensic activities and private-sector investigators. The courses suit both experienced forensic examiners and professionals who are still developing their investigative skills – check the prerequisites on each course page.

How do I register?

Choose your course and complete the registration form. You will receive an email confirming that your application has been received, followed by the invoice with the payment details.

Which email address should I use?

Please use your official work email address. We need accurate, up-to-date details for you and your organisation, and we avoid private email addresses whenever an official one is available.

Can I register for more than one course?

No. All eight courses run in parallel from Monday to Friday, so each participant attends one course for the full week.

Will my manager be informed about my registration?

Yes. The registration form asks for your manager’s name and email. When you submit your registration, your manager automatically receives an email with the course you applied for and the payment terms.

How are seats allocated?

Each course has a limited number of seats. Seats are allocated on a “first paid – first confirmed” basis: your registration is confirmed only once your payment has been received.

Fees and what is included

How much does it cost?

The registration fee is €2,500 per participant for the full five-day course. VAT may apply – see the VAT rules below.

What is included in the fee?

Five days of hands-on training, an official certificate of successful completion recognising the training hours, a buffet lunch and morning and afternoon coffee breaks every day. Spyder Forensics courses also include a student manual and lab exercises.

What is not included?

Travel and accommodation. Participants arrange and pay for these themselves; e-DiFTA does not manage flight or hotel reservations. A discounted room rate is available at the event hotel.

How do I pay?

Payment is by bank transfer only – payment by credit card is not possible. After registering you receive an invoice with the bank details and all the information you need for payment. The invoice must be paid by 25 December 2026. If your organisation needs a purchase order number on the invoice, add it in the comments field of the registration form.

When is the payment deadline?

The invoice must be paid by bank transfer by 25 December 2026. The same date is the cancellation deadline. Your registration is confirmed only after payment has been received, and seats are allocated on a “first paid – first confirmed” basis.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

If you cancel up to 25 December 2026, a €200 administration fee applies. No refunds are available after 25 December 2026.

If e-DiFTA cancels the event, the registration fee is refunded in full. Travel and accommodation expenses are not reimbursed, and e-DiFTA is not responsible for any bookings or other expenses.

VAT and invoicing

Is VAT charged on the registration fee?

Invoices for e-DiFTA are issued from France, so French VAT rules apply:

  • Private individuals: French VAT at the standard rate of 20% applies when you register and are invoiced as a private individual.
  • Entities established in France: companies, agencies, organisations and public administrations established in France are charged French VAT at 20%.
  • Entities established outside France: companies, agencies, organisations and public administrations established outside France can be invoiced without French VAT. To benefit from this, a valid VAT number, Tax Identification Number (TIN) or EIN must be provided during registration, as it must appear on the invoice.

For entities established in the EU, the VAT treatment is based on Articles 283-2/283-3 of the French General Tax Code (CGI) under the reverse-charge mechanism. For entities established outside the EU, it is based on Article 259-1 of the CGI. When invoiced without French VAT, the recipient is responsible for declaring and accounting for any VAT or equivalent tax in its own country.

Which details must appear on the invoice?

The organisation name, the name of the person to be invoiced, the invoicing email, the full address and – for organisations – the VAT number, TIN or EIN. Enter them exactly as they should appear on the invoice.
