1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for e-DiFTA registrations and contact requests is Winkler Digital Forensic Expertise (WINDIFE), 357 Bd Pierre Delmas, Les Terrasses d’Antibes P5, 06600 Antibes, France (SIREN 887 687 796), acting as event coordinator of e-DiFTA – European Digital Forensics Training Alliance, which is organised together with INsig2 Ltd and Spyder Forensics. WINDIFE is also responsible for issuing the invoices for e-DiFTA registrations. For any question about your data, email training@e-difta.eu.

2. What data we process and why

  • Registration form: name, work email, phone, country, organisation, invoicing details (name, email, address, VAT number/TIN/EIN), manager name and email, chosen course and comments. We use them to handle your registration, issue the invoice, organise the course and issue your certificate, and to send your manager an email about your registration. Legal basis: performance of a contract and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations for invoicing and accounting (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Contact form: name, email, country, organisation and your message, used to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Mailing list (news and updates): your email address and, if you provide it, your first name. We use them only to stay in touch with you and to inform you about new e-DiFTA events and future trainings. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We confirm your subscription by email first (double opt-in). You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to training@e-difta.eu; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. We keep the list in our website database and in our Google Workspace account (Google Sheets). We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes; only our service providers (website hosting, email delivery and Google Workspace) process it on our behalf.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager): used only if you consent in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings.
  • Technical data (IP address, browser information and spam-protection signals), used to operate and secure the website. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not sell your data and do not use it for purposes other than those described here.

3. Who receives your data

Your registration is shared with the e-DiFTA organisers (WINDIFE, INsig2 Ltd and Spyder Forensics) to the extent needed to deliver the course you registered for. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf: website hosting (WP Engine), email delivery (Postmark), spam protection (CleanTalk), Google Workspace/Google Sheets for registration records and – only with your consent – Google Analytics. Where needed to organise the event, the venue (NH Prague City) may receive participant names. Where a provider is located outside the European Economic Area, data transfers are based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. How long we keep your data

Registration and invoicing data are kept for as long as required by French accounting and tax law. Mailing-list data are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact requests are kept only as long as needed to answer your enquiry and handle any follow-up, and are then deleted. Analytics data are kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise your rights, email training@e-difta.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the CNIL in France (www.cnil.fr) or the authority in your country of residence.

6. Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies store your cookie choice and protect our forms against spam; they are always active. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when our services change. The current version is always available on this page.
